| Report on the Results: | Through essay writing competition, one wants to identify essay writing ability within the student. An essay does more than inform or persuade a reader. The process of writing an essay teaches a student how to research a topic and organize her thoughts into an introduction, a body and a conclusion. Essay writing objectives apply to expository and persuasive essays on a variety of topics. The competition seeks to encourage critical thinking and analysis of the different approaches. The competition aims to provide a platform for participants to showcase their ideas and insights on a critical topic. Daanish School Girls, Rahim Yar khan conducted an essay writing competition, on the title of “Space and entrepreneurship”. Rules of Essays were: – must be written in English. – should have a length between 800 and 1200 words, excluding references and bibliography. Essays exceeding the limit of words will not be considered. – must include citation and have a bibliography. – must include original content and research: all paradigms of research are acceptable – must not be previously submitted to other competitions or published. – on behalf of another person will not be accepted. – will be judged equally regardless of the participant’s age, gender, race, nationality, religion, and title. must be an original work of the participant. – may have any kind of graphic illustrations or tables, and must be properly cited and a caption included. These do not count towards the word count. At the end of compettiton two final position among all students. Student's essays were judged and selected on different criteria as content, material, word counts, writing, vocabulary, and grammar. At the end final essays were announced and awarded. |
