| Event Description: | "During its existence, the Aviation Complex named after S.V. Ilyushin produced the best examples of combat, passenger and transport aircraft. On January 13, 1933, on the basis of Order No. 411, the Central Design Bureau for Experimental Aircraft Manufacturing was created at Plant No. 39. It was headed by experienced designer S.V. Ilyushin. From the first hours of the Great Patriotic War, aircraft created by Ilyushin Design Bureau: DB-3, DB-3T and DB-3F (later Il-4) took an active part in hostilities. In the most difficult conditions of evacuation of work in unfinished and sometimes unheated production premises, and unsettled living conditions, workers of serial factories created airplanes with their heroic selfless labor. In 1942, in the Battle of Stalingrad, 480 long-range Il-4 bombers struck the enemy, which became the main type of bomber and torpedo bomber of the Great Patriotic War. During the war, over 36,000 Il-2 aircraft were produced. During the excursion, students will get acquainted with aircraft models and new nanomaterials from which modern aircraft are made. The children will learn a lot of interesting things about the creation of combat and passenger aircraft." |
