| Report on the Results: | The excursion at MIIGAiK and MExLab was an unique event. Unfortunately, rainy weather did not allow us to organize sky observations. Nevertheless, the visitors were delighted to wander through the historic building and MIIGAiK observatory, classrooms with astronomic and geodetic instruments of different epoch, lecture classes. At the new MIIGAiK Extraterrestrial Laboratory we demonstrated the evolution of planetary cartographic science from first Lunar images and the First Atlas of Terrestrial Planets by Shingareva to MIIGAiK Phobos Atlas and the newest maps of Hyperion and Ganymede. |
