Event Name:  Public sky observations
Event Description:  A crescent Moon and the gas giant planets Jupiter and Saturn will be visible in the evening hours in early October. In addition to the Moon and planets, some deep sky objects may be visible as the sky darkens towards the evening. The Great Cluster in Hercules (M13), the Ring Nebula in Lyra (M57) and the beautiful multicoloured binary star Albireo are among the possible targets. The observations will take place on the evenings of October 4th and 5th from 19:00–21:00 on the roof of the AHHAA Science Center. It will be possible to take pictures through the telescope. DSLR cameras can attached directly to the telescope, other cameras and smartphones will have to rely on steady hands.
