| Event Name: | Analysing the Universe |
| Event Description: | In this event, part of project Erasmus+ project 2017-1-DE03-KA219-035699_2, students from Institut Pompeu Fabra and partners schools will learn how to use different tools for astronomical data analysis. Presentations and interactive activities will be available at www.5cities.eu and it will include the use of online software like js9.si.edu and ds9 from ds9.si.edu. Some of the activities include: -Taking pictures with mobile and finding astrometry data with astrometry.net -Analysis of spectra of supernovae using different astronomical servers and databases with ds9/js9 software. Spectral data from different supernovae types will be performed and the results of analysis of anisotropies in chemical elements will be compared with original scientific articles published recently. -Online software from Laboratory of exoplanets (Harvard University) with the capability of taking your own photographs of different exoplanets and to analyse data obtained from remote controlled telescopes in Arizona property of this University. |
